Tara Mehrad <\/strong>is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, musical director and vocal coach. <\/h4>\n\n

Her artistic journey is marked by a deep quest for freedom, authenticity, and cultural fusion. Rebellious and without borders, her music reflects a rich and multifaceted identity. Her voice, unique and powerful, conveys intense emotion in every language she explores. She composes in Persian, French, and English, but sings in many languages, guided by her encounters and inspirations. Imbued with her Iranian roots, her exile in France, and her musical ties to South America, Brazil, and beyond, her world carries messages of unity, resilience, and universal love. A messenger of the invisible, she creates to liberate, awaken, and remind each person of their inner light. <\/p>\n\n

Childhood and beginnings in music<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Born in Teheran, Tara grew up in an environment where access to the arts, particularly for women, was restricted. Despite these obstacles, she began playing the piano at the age of 6, then learned the guitar and developed a passion for singing. As a teenager, she joined rock, pop and jazz bands, taking part in clandestine concerts in the basements of Tehran. These experiences forged her revolutionary spirit and her deep desire to express herself freely through music. At the same time, she studied architecture while looking for a way to pursue her true passion. At the age of 23, Tara managed to leave Iran and settle in Paris, where she devoted herself entirely to music. <\/p>\n\n

Musical training<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

In Paris, Tara trained in modern music, exploring jazz, Brazilian and world music at renowned institutions such as IMEP, Arpej and the Bill Evans Piano Academy. She also enriched her vocal technique through classical training and deepened her research into the performing arts, the link between mysticism and the human voice, and the diversity of musical expression. Alongside her studies, she performs in various jazz and world music concerts, consolidating her musical identity. <\/p>\n\n

Songwriting career and first recordings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

In 2019, Tara embarks on composing her own music, creating a unique sound universe that combines modernity, mysticism and diverse influences. <\/p>\n\n

His first EP, BA HAM TANHA<\/em><\/strong> (Alone, Together), was released in the summer of 2021. This opus, composed of six tracks written during confinement, pays tribute to humanity and life. Tara collaborates with renowned musicians, exploring new dimensions of sound. <\/p>\n\n
